Introducing... Michelle Mayberry Cooley

Date of Amputation/Cause:    RBE--Burns
Prosthesis:  I have used several different body-powered "hooks" since my accident at age 5. At age 24 I bought my first myo which I LOVED and used until it wore out in 1997.  I got a new one and it fits so poorly that I HATE it as much as I loved my first one! My arm goes naked at home, but I feel uncomfortable having my arm naked in public.  I'm thinking of buying a passive arm next time around.

Other Information:  I've been married for 14 years, have 3 kids ages 13, 10 and 7.  I'm a Clinical Social worker and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my job--I find it very rewarding.  I also happen to be fluent in Spanish.
