An Internet Mailing List for Arm Amputees

This list was started in 1996 by Bill Baughn specifically for arm amputees.  Being married to Joyce (double arm amp since the age of 6) for 33 years gave him an insight to the need of an arm amputee only list.  Any limb amputee has similar life experiences but the ARM-AMP LIST targets the needs of those who are upper extremities amputee or have lost the use of their upper extremities.  As Bill said many times in regards to leg amps vs. arm amps, “It’s not like comparing apples and oranges; it’s like comparing apples and billy goats!”  So Arm-Amp LIST was started.

Please note: Those that were on the Maelstrom.StJohns.edu LIST may have to re-register their e-mail and password on the new server to access the Arm-Amp Archives.

1. To subscribe to the ARM-AMP LIST send an email to: LISTSERV@listserv.icors.org
2. Subject is ignored by listserv, you can put anything there if your mailer demands it. If you use the above link, your subject will automatically be filled in.
3. In the body of your message put: SUBSCRIBE ARM-AMP First name  Last name

3. In the body of your message put: SIGNOFF ARM-AMP  (note: signoff is one word)  Do not put your name in this time.  Make sure you email it from the email address that you subscribed with or it will not recognize you.
